The terms and conditions of the placement are below for your information:
Your Post-Graduate level Training Programme, which forms the basis for obtaining the qualification, will be overseen by the Optical Express Clinical Services team.
All qualified Optometrists who hold a current and valid General Optical Council (GOC) or CORU registration and all Ophthalmic Surgeons / Doctors who hold a current and valid General Medical Council (GMC) or Irish Medical Council (IMC) registration are able to apply to participate in this programme.
The Post-Graduate Qualification is not open to employees who are within their probationary period of employment at Optical Express.
The Post-Graduate Qualification is not open to Pre-registration optometrists, however they may elect to participate in the learning opportunity the programme brings.
Participating optometrists and Doctors must have up-to-date DBS/PVG (or equivalent) clearance evidence.
The participation of each participant in the programme must be confirmed in writing by the Optical Express Clinical Services Director.
Upon acceptance to the Post-Graduate Training Programme, the offer may be withdrawn by us at any time, without notice.
There will be no remuneration paid to participants for any work performed in personal time. There will be an expected personal time commitment associated with this qualification.
Upon acceptance to the Post-Graduate Training Programme, a sponsorship agreement document must be completed by the participant and the company.
Should a participant (employee) leave their employment of Optical Express (the Company) before completing the qualification, or within 24 months of obtaining the qualification, they are liable for the reimbursement of associated course fees in line with the terms of the sponsorship agreement completed.
